RAIDR and NECS attended the NHS Confederation annual conference and exhibition at Manchester Central on 15-17 June 2016 which was a highly publicised event with keynote addresses from both from Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP and Simon Stevens.
This year’s conference theme focused on the transformation of care for patients. The event truly celebrated all that is good in the NHS, with a particular focus on the best use of technology across all settings, and there was an insightful panel session on harnessing the power of digitalisation to improve care. Professor Bob Wachter who spoke at the event and who is leading a national digital study for the NHS says digitisation is the ‘most robust mechanism for transformation.’
For those who came to the stand we discussed the flexibility and adaptability of RAIDR and explained our approach to responding to market needs of CCGs , GP practices and other organisations such as local authorities and FTs. The key message addressed by Simon Stevens in his speech around the ever increasing need to control NHS finances was showcased by us by demonstrating our Finance and Contracting dashboard, showing how users can access the financial information they need at their fingertips to enable effective and timely decisions to be made by those who need to.
